Summary:
This book is actually a collection of short stories and 1 novel. Now, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle wrote 56 short stories and 4 novels with one of the most beloved characters of all time, Sherlock Holmes. The Short stories in this book are: Silver Blaze, which is about how Holmes had to use his amazing skills of observation and deduction to find a famous racing horse after it was supposedly kidnapped and its trainer killed. I'm not going to give away what really happened. There is also the Speckled Band which is also known as the Adventure of the Speckled Band. In this story, a very terrified girl comes to Holmes and tells him that she thinks that she will die soon, (For reasons why, you'll have to read the story). Holmes decides to go up to where she lives and ... well, I'll let you read the story to find out what happened. The Scandal of Bohemia was about a prince that was to be married, but there was a woman who had a picture of the two of them that would apparently ruin him and she had threatened to send it to the family of his fiancée.
